Feeling Festive – November 2025

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Fermanagh Lodges! It has been over six months since our last blog post, and as we prepare for the festive season, we’re very much looking forward to welcoming many of you back to celebrate with us.

I’d like to take a moment to thank all the guests who have stayed with us this year. We truly appreciate your custom, and it’s wonderful to be kept busy by your continued support year after year.

November has brought a gentle lull in bookings, giving us the perfect opportunity to carry out some essential upkeep — from painting and power-hosing to a few small fixes — all to ensure our accommodation is in perfect condition for your next stay.

This short blog highlights some of the lovely festive events happening across the Fermanagh Lakelands. If you’re in the mood for a magical winter break, why not book a stay with us and celebrate the season in style? We’re also open throughout Christmas and still have some availability left. Check out our Facebook page or drop us an email to enquire about the remaining dates.

Our self-catering accommodation sleeps groups of 2, 4, or 8 and is located right on the shores of Upper Lough Erne — an ideal base for exploring the lakes, enjoying the scenery, and making festive memories with friends or family.

There’s so much happening in the Fermanagh Lakelands this Christmas!

From festive live music and magical Santa experiences for the little ones, to fantastic local shopping perfect for ticking off your Christmas list, Fermanagh really is the ideal place to soak up the holiday spirit.

Hit the Shops!

Enniskillen has everything you need for a festive shopping spree. With a supersized Tesco and Asda, alongside Marks & Spencer, Iceland, Home Bargains, and the newly opened Range, you’ll find plenty of options for Christmas food, Santa gifts, decorations, and seasonal treats.

For our guests visiting with euros, it’s an even better time to shop — food and drink are often cheaper here, making a weekend shopping getaway both fun and great value. Why not plan a stay with us and make the most of it?

Wood Fired Hot Tubs

Ignite your wood-fired hot tub! Our wood-fired hot tubs are a wonderful enhancement for any season, but there’s something truly magical about unwinding in the warm water when the outside air is a bit chilly. Will you be fortunate enough to witness the Northern Lights while you relax beneath the stars? All of our accommodations also come equipped with wood-fired stoves, ensuring that your luxurious living space is as comfortable and cozy as possible.

Stay at Fermanagh Lodges for a self catering weekend and check out festive highlights:
  • Santa Sundays at The Valley Hotel! The best way to meet santa himself, this event includes a gift from Santa in his magical grotto as well as a fabulous 4-course Christmas lunch
  • Enjoy Christmas Carols with Caritas Choir, taking place at The Manor House Country Hotel with a complimentary prosecco and canapé reception
  • Mistletoe & Martinis: Sip & Shop Sundays at The Boatyard Distillery, one for the adults, this festive afternoon allows you to sample some tipples and build your own hamper – choose from gins, vodka, chocolate, glassware, jams, marmalades, and even Christmas jumpers!
